Choose to do one thing and reap huge benefits all year! But why, you ask, would my closet be a New Year’s resolution?

In Feng Shui, your closet represents your sub-conscious mind.   Is your mind cluttered?  Well so is your closet.  Get your closet straightened out and experience increased clarity of mind.

Your wardrobe closet is the most significant closet in your home. You visit it daily and most importantly it holds your clothes that represent you!  They express your style, your confidence, your self-worth – your joy!

Think about your closet right now.  What is the feeling you get?  Do you cringe, feel frustrated or a pang of panic?  Maybe it is just a mild sense of confusion or disorganization.  The state of your closet affects your daily energy levels, your state of mind and thus your career, relationships, finance, health and more.  Now you see why your closet matters!

It doesn’t matter the size of your closet or how expensive the items in it.  It is not just a closet full of clothes.  It is more.  It is about your life, it talks about your relationship with money, your confidence and your goals.

A closet full of clothes that drain your energy may be holding you back in your career, relationships, finances and more.  If you get up every day and spend more then 15 minutes in deciding on what to wear than you need to ask your self why?

You want to create a closet full of confidence, style, love and wealth. But to get there you need to start with de-cluttering your closet.

Here’s what I want you to do.  Go to your closet, open the door and ask yourself “what does my closet say about me?”.  Select 9 pieces, ask yourself Do I love it? Why? Do I hate? Why? Do only 9 pieces ( In Feng Shui, 9 is an auspicious number).  In that moment keep what you love and discard what you hate.  Do it right in the moment.  Don’t second guess.  Repeat this for the next 9 days or until you’ve gone through every piece.

You will be surprised how freeing this exercise is.  If possible, journal after doing it and see what patterns arise and how it makes you feel.  My goal is to get you started so that you continually ask, “what does my closet say about me?”

Let’s get serious your closet says everything about you… your style, confidence, wealth and health.  So make it say what you want it to say!

It’s not a hard task, but if you clean out your closet, your set the tone for a great new year. Every morning you wake up feeling good. Getting dress becomes a breeze, you leave the house on time, you are more confident and people relate to you in a new way.  Just one task with so many possible out comes!
