Several years ago, I worked with a client who wanted to incorporate pink into her living room but was worried it might seem too feminine to her boyfriend. We explored her feelings about the color and discussed how to tastefully integrate it with more masculine elements to create a balanced space.
Pink embodies compassion, nurturing, and love, evoking calm and peace in an inviting atmosphere. By incorporating pink, my client could express her style while fostering emotional well-being and connection.
After our consultation, I stopped at a grocery store and saw a home decor magazine featuring an article on incorporating pink into a home. The cover showcased a pink room in a luxurious house, and it felt like a perfect sign! The article confirmed my client’s desires and suggested incorporating pink elegantly into her space. I knew it would boost her confidence.
This experience highlighted a common concern: many women fear expressing their style might lead to misunderstanding. There are often personal reasons behind choices in color and fashion, but ultimately, it’s about finding what feels right for them. There’s always a solution—whether it’s about colors, cuts, or styles, discovering what works for you is essential for developing your signature look.
I enjoy watching a client’s confidence change when she finally fulfills her desires. The results create positive feedback and new opportunities. We all have limited beliefs that we tell ourselves. You have to be willing to let them go and tell a new story.
