I don’t agree that a white button-down blouse is a necessity for your closet!

There’s a popular trend to create a capsule wardrobe with a white blouse, black pants, trench coat, etc. This plan works for some people who like that style.

However, when I work with my clients, I’m here to customize a signature look that suits their career goals and lifestyles. It starts with asking questions about what they desire for their career in the next 90 days.

If you’re promoting your new book, it means being on interviews, videos, and in-person events, so your wardrobe needs to be prepped and ready for these events, even if they’re not happening yet. It’s all about connecting to the vision you have. And since your goal is to get more clients and do more speaking, then you don’t need just two outfits; you want to build at least 10 to 12 outfits ready for your success as it evolves.

As you evolve your personal brand, your wardrobe needs to align with your career changes and lifestyle changes. You should also consider what you would like to experience when you’re not working.

So, your wardrobe should consist of outfits for your career and lifestyle goals. This is unique to you and much more than just the basic essentials. The key is to have a wardrobe that excites you and aligns with what you want, not just to get you up to sit behind a computer for 10 hours.

Create a wardrobe that aligns with the exciting life you envision.
