Don’t fall for every sale you see during a holiday weekend.

Many clothing brands take advantage of these weekends to offer promotions and sales.

When considering a sale, remember to focus on more than just the price. The value of purchase lies not only in its cost but also in its fit and how well it complements your existing wardrobe.

Before making a purchase, it’s crucial to ask yourself if you truly need the item if it’s versatile enough to go with your existing clothes, and where you’ll wear it. Only proceed with the purchase if you’re satisfied with the answers to these questions.

I’ve done many closet edits, and most of the clothes being donated with tags on them are sale items bought because of the price and not well thought out if they were a good fit for your wardrobe.

Many items purchased on, sale end up being donated later because they were bought solely based on price.

Focus on getting good value from your purchases by choosing items that fit well, work with your wardrobe, and will be worn regularly.
