What do you wear when it’s out of your normal work environment?

Part of my job is helping clients overcome their resistance to what they consider flaws in their bodies. This makes it a struggle for them to dress for these events and feel confident that they are dressed appropriately.

I’ve heard all the challenges many people feel when being in front of the camera, on stages, and traveling for business events. Many times, there is no clear business attire.

I’ve had clients who traveled to the Middle East and had to have covered arms and legs while it was 100 degrees out there and deal with hot flashes!

Some people need to maintain an elegant and refined style while appearing professional, so they must find outfits with shorts or dresses that still project a professional image. No matter what the environment, there is always an outfit to wear where you honor yourself and feel the most confident. But for this to happen, you must stop arguing about why it can’t work.

You have to be willing to relax and learn to be open to trying other options. The key is that how you dress starts with how you want to feel. You have to be comfortable and confident in what you are wearing because it will impact your event.

Planning your outfits for an event is not just about what you wear; it’s about how you feel and how others perceive you. In the age of social media, your photos reflect your professional image, so you want to present yourself in the best light possible.

The challenge is that you can’t neglect your wardrobe when it comes to your success as an entrepreneur or in a corporate setting. Even if you work from home, you must come out of your comfort zone for events, so it’s important to address any limiting beliefs about your wardrobe.
