Is your office set up for success? Do the items you see every day boost your creative energies? The items in your office play a significant role in how productive you are doing your work hours.

From cubicles, to the home office it’s key to freshen up your space every couple of months. You don’t need to spend a lot of money just some simple changes can make a difference. Start out small, just make a decision to change 3 items in your space and allow the shift to happen!

1. Stylish Bulletin Boards.

In Feng Shui consultations, client’s often ask where is the best place to keep their vision boards and I explain the ideal location is the wall in front of the your desk. The items in front of you represent your future and the items behind represent the past. So, all the certificate and awards are best placed on the wall behind you. I suggest you be creative with your vision boards and consider finding stylish and fun bulletin boards and fill them items that inspiring and functional.

Here are some great examples:

2. Cleansing scents.

It’s important to cleanse your space on a daily or weekly basis, but it’s extremely important when you are dealing with lots of stress. If you are continually dumping negative energy into the same space everyday than the energy builds up like soap residue and we continue to feed into that the energy. A quick fix is to use incense or an essential oil spray. Please note, if you use this in an office with co-workers be sure to check the scents don’t bother your coworkers and I suggest the spray over the incense.

3. Fresh cut flowers or plants.

In Feng Shui plants represent money but they also help minimize the emf’s from electronics, especially devices like printers, computers, wireless routers. etc.

1. Peace Lily
2. Chinese Evergreen

4. Stylish Calendars

Calendars represent organization, planning and structure. When you use your calendars to map out projects, deadlines, and money goals, you are affirming that you are serious about these goals- add a little style and color to boost your energy.

Here’s a list of my favorite stores for supplies:

1. Target
2. Micheal’s (great coupons)
3. Staples (rewards card)
4. Home Goods (Pretty bulletin boards)

Be sure to have fun when you’re shopping for these items and it’s a good idea to shift the items in your space every three months.
