It’s time for you to take the stage and share your expertise. While it can be nerve-wracking, this is what you’ve been dreaming of, and it’s finally happening. Speaking in front of people, whether your audience is large or small, is a significant step, and it’s about asserting your power.

In the previous email, I discussed how to dress for a conference while traveling.

Today, let’s explore the world of vibrant colors and how they can enhance your speaking skills. We’ll look at how to incorporate these colors into your wardrobe, bringing a fiery brightness that helps you stand out and be remembered.

Colors are attention-grabbing, and people tend to remember those who wear vibrant colors if they’re at an event with multiple speakers. By understanding this, you can take control of how your audience perceives you.

For example, “That lady in the red dress, her name is Renee, and she talked about scaling your business.”

Colors not only affect the way people see you but also how they make you feel.

Different colors resonate with other people, and some colors have energies that make people feel more confident and energized.

I’ve chosen a stunning magenta dress from Ann Taylor for our first outfit. This classic piece is a showstopper, but we can take it to the next level with some strategic layering.

This classic dress can be paired with a white blazer to create a more formal feel or a white sweater cardigan for a cozy and formal outfit.

Pairing it with a white jacket softens the bright color and gives a different look to the dress.

This outfit is perfect for a cocktail party. After the event, she can simply remove the jacket and add a gold belt to create a more refined look. Additionally, the shoes will elevate the outfit to the next level, whether she chooses low or high heels. Each pair will have a different impact on the overall wardrobe.

Simplicity is key when you have to attend an event, speak, and then attend a cocktail party. Changing outfits can be overwhelming for some, so these suggestions are designed to keep it simple and stress-free.

I’ve opted for a more relaxed and loose-fitting ensemble for our second look. This choice is perfect for those who prefer a more casual style or for events that call for less formal attire. Let’s see how we can make this outfit work for you.

Normally, I would not recommend wearing prints for a speaking event, but in this case, the jacket will cover the blouse, so the prints won’t be a distraction.

The color combination is different, with a nice vibrant pink blazer, printed blouse, and loose pants, giving a laid-back yet professional look.

This outfit would be ideal for someone taller and more casual. I added a touch of fun with magenta shoes. It may be hard to see the color of the blouse, but the shoes will enhance the pink in the blouse and blazer. It definitely can be paired with dressy sneakers for a more masculine touch.

This outfit is simple yet vibrant, and the addition of red pants makes it even more so. Red pants are very popular these days, and I’ve wanted to get a pair myself.

To tone down the bright red pants, I love pairing them with a neutral vest. You can match them with red shoes or keep it simple with brown or camel shoes.

If I were going to a cocktail event, I would pair this outfit with gold strappy heels to elevate the look.

The strong, clean lines in this outfit are ideal for the hourglass body shape, especially for anyone trying to hide their belly weight.

I know how stressful it is to find the right outfit for big events where all the attention is on you and you want to look your best. No matter your size or age, you can always look amazing if you learn how to plan out your wardrobe.
