During a style consultation, one of my clients asked me for advice on what to wear with a red dress.

She had several upcoming work and social events and wanted to make a statement while wearing the dress.

To achieve an elegant business-casual look for her warmer client events, I suggested pairing the red dress with a white blazer, along with gold, white, or camel shoes.

This combination gave her the sophisticated look she desired while also toning down the brightness of the dress and making her stand out in the crowd.

For her more formal work events, I suggested a beige blazer with white stripes.

This blazer was longer and perfect for her guest speaking spot on a stage where she would sit comfortably.

For her more casual days, we considered a white and black denim jacket.

Paired with white sandals or sneakers, this gave her a very casual feel for the event, shopping, or walking around town.

The blue blazer was an option for future events requiring more formal business attire in early fall.

Now, all of these blazer options are pieces that will work with her wardrobe as we are creating a new image for her new position at work.

Wardrobe planning is an essential step when working with clients to help them create wardrobes that meet all their needs, helping them feel happy getting dressed and great knowing they always have the right outfit for every occasion.
