I give you permission to be lazy! Yes, it’s true… I give you permission to be lazy. Let me share why. I have found that letting go is actually the best way to get things done.

I’ve been a student of the Course of Miracles for 3 months and this book has transformed my life!  It has truly pulled together all the philosophies I’ve studied on my spiritual journey over the past 10 years. For years, I’ve read books, taken classes and still didn’t understand the concept of “letting go and just being.” It’s the simplest idea but so hard to do.

After reading all the surveys the feedback was consistent:  “I don’t have time to de-clutter or organize.” However, you continue to blame yourself for not getting it done.  These are false beliefs that need to be replaced by the truth!  It’s time to hold on to the truth and surrender control so that we can allow the good things we want to enter our lives.  I too am guilty of holding on and I see so many clients share this same frustration.  However, after all these years, I am finally beginning to understand that piece of the puzzle.

It’s all summed up in this video that I received from Abraham and Hicks, whether you are a fan of them or not, I encourage to listen to this video several times so you can begin to see the benefits of being lazy. Watch it Here.

This video truly spoke to me as I am guilty of trying and trying to make things happens yet, I don’t truly honor my time. I work too much (even though I love my work) but I don’t always do the things I love and I find myself frustrated with things not being what I want them to be. Over the past several weeks, I started to make small changes such as committing to hanging out with a new friend each weekend and honoring my creative energy completing a mini project a week i.e. painting a new pot for my plants, re-organzing my closets to make room for new things, etc. Each time I finished a little task I felt an energy shift that made me accomplish more and more. I finally put up a painting a friend gave me months ago! I had over analyzed where to put it for too long! When I finally put it up in my bathroom, I thought, “why did I debate over this so much?” I was upset with myself and it motivated me to do more! Next, I was on to my favorite necklace that has been sitting in my jewelry box for almost two years because I couldn’t fix it. I made up my mind, I was on a mission to fix it. I left the necklace on my kitchen table everyday as a reminder to find someone to fix it. It took a couple of days, but I finally got it done and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve noticed since I have been doing these things for myself I am feeling happier, productive and I am actually receiving more in my relationships!

I also encourage you to then begin filling your schedule with the suggestions and “tasks” I give in my 30 day Office Make-Over Calendar (my free gift for taking the survey). It is imperative that you make space for “me time.”  Make sure to take care of the little things around your home to make you feel good. The little things make the difference, like de-cluttering your night stand to wake up feeling calm and at ease, put up that painting that’s been sitting on the floor for six months, buy a new table cloth for the kitchen table, etc., etc. All around your space are little annoying things that are draining your energy and everyday just tick you off more. Start with one little task to take care of yourself than give yourself “me time.”
