This self-care day is about giving yourself a full day to accomplish the things you enjoy.

Several years ago, a beauty brand that was only sold online was having a unique pop-up event in New York City.

Not only was I eager to see the brand, but the area where the event was being held had various restaurants and businesses that I wanted to explore

I didn’t bother inviting anyone because these were the only places that piqued my interest and I had a schedule that I wanted to follow at my leisure.

The day went better than expected, and because there were no limits to my time, I discovered more interesting places to eat and shop.

My adventure was both enjoyable and refreshing. I started planning day trips to NYC and the tri-state area.

I explained the significance of these days to my style clients and I advise them to use these days to recharge their batteries and open their creative channels.

Guidelines for planning your perfect day:

It’s just for you.

You have no time constraints.

You are not responding to any messages or phone calls.

You visit sites that pique your curiosity.

You schedule them at least once per month.

Here’s an example from one of my style clients.

One of my clients wanted to go to a book signing by a favorite author, but it was a two-hour drive.

I suggested she research the location and see what else she could do if she attended the event.

She found a restaurant recommended by an influencer online, and on the way, there was another location she wanted to explore, a jewelry store she had only seen online but wanted to see in person before purchasing.

This day had such an impact on her mental state that she now schedules them every month and becomes more adventurous with each one.

Let me add one more point! This day is all about having fun doing things you enjoy, so go out and purchase the ten-dollar homemade ice cream and eat it for lunch, or drive two hours to a boutique to buy yourself something you like.

If you follow this new pattern monthly, you will see a difference in your relationships, career, health, and other areas. The advantages will be greater than you realize.
